Our Story
LoCLE Grown is something for the humble and curious. It is a reminder that we all start somewhere. We are a community and we are proud of the artists that come from Cleveland as well as the ones who make Cleveland a stop along the way to fame.
One thing we know for sure:

The Jordans of LoCLE Grown want to dive deeper into the framework of local music (no matter what local means to you) all while providing entertaining commentary, stories and GREAT MUSIC like you’ve never heard before!
Meet The Hosts
In 2003, the universe, in its ever-shifting and unpredictable ways, planted Jordan Laird and Jordan Urban ("The Jordans!", "J-Squared!", "Big J / Little J!", "Those two annoying chicks!") right beside each other as next-door neighbors in Medina, Ohio. The next 10 years developed a strong sisterly and Jordan-ly bond that is unbreakable to this day.
With Laird being two years senior to Urban, they grew through the love of music, food, and family. Together, they sharpened their musical and social skills. With original music and dynamic harmonies, the two formed "Urban Lair" in 2018 after many years of singing and playing covers. Come 2019, they joined forces once more to create what you know as LoCLE Grown.

Jordan Laird (JLaird)
Jordan Laird is a loudmouth with a mic and a mission: to make noise for the Cleveland music scene (and maybe get paid for it someday).
She found her footing (and her voice) at Baldwin Wallace University, where she fell hard for college radio and event planning at 88.3FM The Sting. In 2019, a year post-grad and still itching to host the specialty show that never was, she teamed up with lifelong friend Jurbz to launch LoCLE Grown, a radio-show-turned-podcast that shines a light on rising artists and the stories behind the sounds.
These days, Jordan runs the back-end and the mic: producing each episode, coordinating partner opportunities, and driving the conversation during episodes.
When she's not doing LG things, you’ll likely find her Door Dashing Chinese food, buried in blankets, or smushing the face of her itty-bitty-pitty, Stevie.
Jordan Urban (Jurbz)
Jordan Urban AKA Jurbz skipped the college thing and still got a job in her field!
Growing up in a family full of musicians and close roots to country music, Jurbz picked up an interest in the music scene from the very beginning. Over the years, Jurbz has written dozens of songs and collaborated on projects with a handful of artists around Cleveland.
Urban graduated in 2017 and went straight into the workforce. After managing a couple pizza shops and dealing with retail-therapy Karens, she was ready to do something she truly was passionate about and moved from Akron, OH to Cleveland, reuniting with her fellow Jordan
Jurbz handles booking for the show and is always the quickest one with a joke during our episodes. She also is an event manager for a local brewery (so hit her up to plan an event!).

Meet The Team
We’re beyond lucky to have two incredible humans on our team who live and breathe the Cleveland music scene, and are even more dialed in than we are to be so honest. Jake and Danna bring fresh perspectives, deep passion, and a level of energy and professionalism that’s helped take LoCLE Grown to the next level.

Danna O'Connor
Danna appeared onto the music scene with her band Post Saga (if you like pop, jazz, funk, and indie, we highly recommend!). When left to her own devices, she joined LG January 2024 as a sound engineer and photo extraordinaire.
Just kidding, she just asked Jurbz for her vape one too many times and now owes her debt as a slave to the Jordans. When she’s not drinking on the Lord's day, she spends time with her dog Theo and fantasizes about winning the lottery as a means to get to sleep at night.

Jake Conder
Jake Conder is just your average guy. He likes live music, eating good food, and long walks on the beach. When he's not playing music with his band Fruitfly, you can find him scouring the high seas to prove that One Piece is real and become king of the pirates.
Jake loves Cleveland music with a passion. From stagehanding and engineering to booking and organizing, Jake has worked with countless venues and bands. As such, he can firmly say that we have something special here in this community and it should be fostered, nurtured and grown... Locally ;)
